Contract and Joint Research

NMRI has a range of huge facilities and laboratory equipment to research for achieving and enhancing maritime transport safety/development of ocean resources/conservation of the marine environment. Utilizing these facilities, NMRI conducts "Contract Research" (in which its researchers perform studies at NMRI at the request of customers) and "Joint Research" (in which NMRI and its customers do research at NMRI on shared research themes). NMRI also leases its facilities to customers so that they can perform their research.
