Lidar Specifications
Ship-board Mie lidar consists of YAG laser, a Cassegrain type telescope
and a scanning mirror. The analog output of the photo-multipier is digitized
with high speed transient recorder. Signal to noise ratio is improved by
the gate operation and the background subtraction. The laser beam transmitted
into air is monitored with the system which could cut off the emission
for eye-safety.
