The Japan Railway Construction, Transport and Technology Agency (JRTT) and the National Maritime Research Institute (NMRI) will hold an International Symposium on CO2 Storage at Sanjo Conference Hall in the University of Tokyo on 5th, March 2007 (Monday). The storage of CO2 is one of the greenhouse gas control technologies, where CO2 is captured from flue gas of fossil fuels and injected into deep sea or underground space to be sequestered from the atmosphere. The scope of the symposium is to exchange knowledge on ocean and geological storage of CO2 and to encourage research and development relevant to the CO2 storage. |
