Abstract
For the design and construction of safe and economical ship, this Department conducts research on more advanced methods of estimating the loads acting on a ship’s hull in waves and structural analysis methods using the obtained loads as inputs, the corrosion properties and fatigue strength of materials, etc. This Department also conducts research on production technologies such as new production systems, technologies for rationalization of production processes, etc. in order to realize a large reduction in man-hours by preparing and applying educational materials for skill training.
