- 2. Wave Height
of World Oceans
Recently, it became
possible to measure wave height by altimeter loaded on satellites.
Although the altimeter has a shortcoming that wave direction
and wave period cannot be measured, it has a merit to cover wide
range of oceans in the world.
In this Homepage, the characteristics of wave height data measured
by altimeter on the satellites, GEOSAT and TOPEX/POSEIDON, is
available.
