Introduction:

The information of winds and waves is very important not only for safe and economical operation of ships and ocean structures, but also for the global environment. Ship Research Institute published three long-term statistics of winds and waves on the North Pacific Ocean in these three decades [1], [2], [3].
This homepage shows the latest database on the North Pacific Ocean [3]. Moreover the worldwide statistics of wave heights measured by altimeter loaded on the satellites, GEOSAT and TOPEX/POSEIDON, is included.
