KVLCC2M

KVLCC2

Description:

The original hull form KVLCC2 was conceived by Korean Institute of Ships and Ocean Engineering(KRISO) to provide data for both explication of flow physics and CFD validation for a modern (ca. 1997) tanker ship with bulbous bow.

KVLCC2M was obtained by fairing the original IGES data of KVLCC2 during the manufacturing process of a model ship for tank tests. Since the hull geometry became slightly different from the original IGES data , we named it KVLCC2M and will use this geometry as the standard data for the CFDWS2005. The experimental data sets will be provided by NMRI.
