Development Dialy of S-FPSE 2000

This page shows a development dialy of the Semi-free-piston Stirling engine named S-FPSE 2000 since September 2000.


August 21, 2000
The experimental Stirling engine is completed. A Scotch-yoke mechanism is adapted to drive the displacer piston.


September 7, 2000
The model boat is almost completed. It is 600 mm in length and weighs a total of 2 kilograms.


September 8, 2000
The swimming speed was measured at the test tank. The maximum speed was only 0.2 m/s. I anticipate engine adjustments will give significantly higher performance.
