More KCS Information added to website.

  • links to SRI reports/references added
  • location of cross-plane for nominal/total wake comparison/validation changed to x/L=0.4911
  • inconsistency in specification of z/L location of velocity cut fixed (should be -0.03).

10 June 2000:

Clarification of uncertainty variables (UD, USN, UV) and reference to IIHR Report #407 added to web site.  Also, estimates for KCS and KVLCC2 provided so that participants can prepare temporary figures. 


6 March 2000:

Model 5415 portion of website is fully complete.  Submission instructions, sample images, and validation data are now available.


4 March 2000:

KCS and KVLCC2 IGES files are now available.


13 December 1999:

Stern, Larsson, and Paterson met at IIHR  (12/10/99) to discuss final organization of website and planning of Workshop.   Numerous small changes to website.


23 November 1999:

Online registration form activated.  All registrations are forwarded to Prof. Lars Larsson.


21 November 1999:

KVLCC2 comparison/validation variable example figures updated with KRISO wind tunnel data.


1 November 1999:  

IGES file for Model 5415 has been added.  Also, Model 5415 Validation Variables section has been updated to reflect use of INSEAN data for wave cut, global wave field, and cross-plane velocity field.

Information about KVLCC2 full-scale simulations has been added.


13 October 1999:  

KCS propeller geometry, drawing image, and open-water data have been added to KCS geometry and conditions page.

Dates in Announcement Section have been revised.   Images of EFD data included to illustrate comparison/validation variables.   Changes in tanker pages to KVLCC2.
