CONTRIBUTION TO INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS
Regulations and standards for safety and environmental protection on the sea have been conducted internationally through discussions in global conferences such as the International Marine Organization (IMO) and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
Strategic involvement in these international rules formation is significant for Japanese maritime policy and the industry. NMRI positively contributes to various activities supporting governmental actions, such as investigation, research, documentation, provision of resources for international conferences, and performing the role of chairs and secretaries.
