Marine Environment & Engine System Department awarded the Marine Engineering of the Year 2022 from Japan Institute of Marine Engineering.

On July 14th, Marine Environment & Engine System Department was awarded the Marine Engineering of the Year 2022 from Japan Institute of Marine Engineering (JIME) at Joint Award Ceremony of three maritime societies.

Title: Research and development for practical application of outstanding research results and creative technologies in marine engineering over the years

Awardee:Marine Environment & Engine System Department

Reasons for Award:The Marine Environment & Engine System Department, which is in charge of research and development of marine engine systems and environmental conservation research at the National Maritime Research Institute, has been recognized for its outstanding research results through numerous paper awards. In addition, in FY2022, we have developed advanced technologies for the practical application of new fuels that contribute to the decarbonization of marine transport, and have made several presentations at prestigious international conferences in Europe. In this way, the department has been recognized for its outstanding achievements in the field of marine engineering over many years.
