The 400m Towing Tank, one of the representative research facilities of National Maritime Research Institute was introduced in "Science Japan", an on-line magazine published by Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST).

The article is titled "The '400m Towing Tank' demonstrates improved ship performance, reflected in international rules [Featured Stories ]". The article includes an overview of the tank, an explanation of the air-lubrication-method test which was conducted during the report, and an interview of Dr. Masaru Tsujimoto, Director of the Fluids Engineering & Hull Design Department.
