Release Notification of Multipurpose Fatigue Analysis Software Package "FATRUN/SPECTRUN Ver. 2"

National Institute of Maritime, Port, and Aviation Technology (MPAT), National Maritime Research Institute (NMRI, Director: Takemasa Minemoto) released multipurpose fatigue analysis software package "FATRUN/SPECTRUN Ver. 2" in May.

FATRUN/SPECTRUN Ver. 2 offers the best support for fatigue analyses in both time and frequency domains. In this version, graphic display function of S-N curves and batch analysis function for multiple data files have been newly installed.
■Stress cycle counting (FATRUN)
Various cycle counting methods, including 1‐D and 2‐D Rainflow methods
■Mean stress correction (FATRUN)
Mean stress corrections by 2‐D Rainflow method and the modified Goodman's
 diagram or the Gerber's diagram
■Graphic display of S-N curves (FATRUN)
■Fatigue analysis (FATRUN/SPECTRUN)
Based on arbitrary S‐N curve and the linear cumulative damage law (Miner's law)
■Batch analysis for multiple data files (FATRUN)
■Frequency domain fatigue analysis (SPECTRUN)
Including damage correction for wide‐banded stress spectra
■Stress wave simulation (SPECTRUN)
Generation of stress time history (in FATRUN format) corresponding to arbitrary stress spectrum
