Risk Assessment Application for Dragging Anchor ”Ikari-ing”
- Notification of English version Release -

National Institute of Maritime, Port, and Aviation Technology (MPAT), National Maritime Research Institute (Director: Akinori Abe) released the English version of the Risk assessment application for dragging anchor "Ikari-ing" on August 6, 2021, following the Japanese version which was released on July 1, 2021.

When users such as captains and crew enter the ship’s data, anchorage candidate sea areas, and weather and sea conditions, the dragging risk of their ships will be displayed in three levels: high, medium, and low. The captain and the crew can use this risk information to select the appropriate measures for the prevention of anchor dragging accidents.

This system has a PC version that can be used offline and a WEB application version that can be used on smartphones and tablets, both of which can be used free of charge from our website.
