Exchange of views with Suez Canal Authority Staff Members Held

On October 17, Suez Canal Authority officials and others visited NMRI for Exchange of views and a technical tour of research facilities as part of the JICA technical cooperation project "Capacity Building for Developing Marketing Strategy for the Suez Canal Traffic".

The Suez Canal Authority (SCA) is the Egyptian state agency responsible for the management, development, and maintenance of the Suez Canal, and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is currently implementing a technical cooperation project to strengthen the marketing capacity of the SCA. As part of this project, six SCA staff members, three JICA staff members, one staff member of the Overseas Coastal Area Development Institute of Japan (OCDI), and one faculty member of the University of Tokyo visited NMRI to learn maritime and offshore technology of Japan. They joined an exchange of views with researchers of NMRI and a technical tour of research facilities in NMRI.
